Brew Kettle (Wort Kettle)
Cylindrical, vertical, double-jacket, insulated stainless-steel vessel with dished-top designed for boiling of
maltose-wort with hops (or also other ingredients) resulting in wort.
(for more info see Brief Brewing Info)
Material:
stainless steel AISI 304
thickness: cylinder 3mm, bottom 4mm
Inner surface treatment:
cold-rolled plates 4mm-thickness, 2B surface treatment, welds grinded to Ra 0,8µm.
External surface treatment:
cold-rolled plates grinded to SB.
Heating:
Internal Steam Boiler - max.pressure 4 bars
Insulation:
Cylinder: Polyurethane - thickness 150 mm, density 1,09 g/cm³
Conical bottom: Rockwool - 100 mm
External-Jacket:
Stainless steel plate - thickness 1,5 mm, both cylinder and conical bottom
Pipe-steam-boiler performing maltose-wort heating (steam-pressure 4 bars, temperature 150 oC) is seated at 10o-conical bottom.
Inlet of steam into heating-sections is controlled from central control panel(CCP) by electrically operated solenoid valves,
depending on temperature (digitally displayed on the CCP) and speed of heating. Temperature in the vessel is controlled by thermo-sensor
installed in the cylindrical part, near the bottom and evaluated by the control system.
For better circulation the kettle is fitted with circulation-piping and wort-pump (wort is pumped-out via bottom-outlet and then
getting back to kettle via pipe and inlet at the top).
Dished-top of Brew-Kettle is equipped with round 500mm man-way, 150mm vent-chimney for concentrate exhaust and rotating jet-sprayball
(under pipe-boiler`s shelter).
